KEWANEE 7 TEAM MEET The Rebels Boys and Girls cross country teams ran at Baker Park in Kewanee on Tuesday (September 24th) in a 7 team meet hosted by the Kewanee Boilermakers XC teams. It was a dominating performance in the Girls race with the Rebel Girls placing 7 in the top 13 to finish 1st in the team scoring out of 5 teams. Olivia Frail led the Girls winning the race with a time of 21:39. The Girls had the 5th thru 8th finishers in the race in Ashley Orrick (22:51), Josie Price (23:02), Trinity Shimmin (23:37) and Alyssa Dyken (23:59). Paige Rewerts (24:25) finished 10th and Lena Becker (25:15) was 13th). Sarah Fairfield (28:05 - 23rd) and Emily Orrick (28:14 - 24th) were the Rebels Girls other finishers. The Rebels Boys finished 3rd in the team scoring out of 7 teams. The Rebel Boys were led by Alex Welch (19:13 - 4th) followed by Payton Stahl (20:17 - 13th), Caden Daum (20:37 - 16th), Brett Browning (20:47 - 18th) and Rilley Bowen (20:48 - 19th). Browning's time was a new Season Best for him. There were 40 finishers in the Girls race and 53 in the Boys race. Great job by all after a hard practice the day before.
